Artist Note: "Summer Song" is a view of a tiny patch lily pads among thousands more spreading across another favorite Stillwater pond. I love playing with colors that are present in reality and those that represent emotions as the water shimmers and lily pads glow in the heat of the afternoon sun. Each of us is connected by a common thread of emotion to color—it isn’t the same color for everyone— but color helps to tell the visual story.
